Swan is a friendly, family country Inn, that has built a reputation for consistently delivering high standards in food, drink and accommodation.  As a team Patricia and Pete ensure guests and customers have an enjoyable experience every time they visit. 

Dating back to the end of the 18th Century, The Swan Inn is only 4 miles from Bath, yet it is surrounded by the most wonderful countryside, with spectacular views over the tranquil Box Valley from the Bar & Restaurant and Gardens, also nearby flows the River Avon and the Kennet & Avon Canal.

The Swan is chained to the hill, the ground slopes very suddenly beneath the foundations of the old Inn, and visitors will see a large iron strap running along the back of the inn with one end round either corner. The bolts, which are seen at intervals in the strap,weure large iron chains, the other end which are fastened to girders in between the rocks of a disused quarry over the road.
