The Swan is a friendly, family country
Inn, that has built a reputation for consistently delivering a high standard in food, drink and accommodation. As a
team Patricia and Pete ensure guests and customers have an enjoyable experience every time they visit.
Dating back
to the end of the 18th century, The Swan Inn is only 4 miles from Bath, yet it is surrounded by the most wonderful countryside,
with epectacular views over the tranquil Box Valley from the Bar, Restaurant and Gardens, also near by flows the River Avon
and the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The Swan is chained to the hill, the ground slopes very suddenly beneath the foundations
of the old Inn, and visitors will see a large iron strap rumming along the back of the Inn with one end round either corner.
The bolts, which are fastened to girders in between the rocls of a disused quarry over the road.
